Jonas Apeland, born 1997 in Bergen, is organist at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bergen, Norway.
Previously he was the Director of Music at The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul in Montreal, Canada, where he played a 107 stop Casavant-organ. The church also has one of the country's leading professional church choirs which Apeland led every Sunday. Apeland has also been organist at Johanneskirken (St. John) in Bergen. He took his undergraduate in Church Music at The Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo with Professor Terje Winge, and at McGill University, in the organ class of Hans Ola Ericsson, where he also got an in-depth study in early music with Hank Knox. Apeland did his master’s degree at the Conservatoire Nationale Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Olivier Latry and Michel Bouvard, where he also studied counterpoint with Thomas Ospital. Thomas Lacôte was Apeland’s supervisor on his master’s thesis on Olivier Messiaen. Apeland finished his degree in 2022 with a concert in Église de la Sainte-Trinité, performing La Nativité du Seigneur by Messiaen, for which he received the highest achievable grade from the jury. Apeland also does freelance work as a concert organist, conductor and plays continuo in various ensembles, and has held solo concerts in Oslo Cathedral, Stavanger concert house, Nidaros Cathedral and as soloist with BIT20 ensemble during the Bergen Kirkeautunnale festival.

Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, respectively in Bergen Cathedral, St. Mary's Church and St. John's Church. In addition, concerts in Nykirken (the new Church) and St. Paul's church.
